Clinique - Even Better Clinical

So I came across this spot corrector serum by Clinique - Even Better Clinical.
I'm currently looking for a spot corrector/eraser serum as the one that I'm currently using is finishing in no time. So I have to get one before it runs out.

The one I'm using atm is the Lancome - Blanc Expert. It is quite costly for only 30ml, but I swear to God it is so worth it. Guess it was Dec 2008 when I bought mine about RM300++ for only 30ml? Not too sure exactly how much but I know I got it for like RM300++ with some traveling size toner, moisturizer, sunblock and two masks.
I know you will be thinking WTF? 2008 till now? is like 3 years! Yes! Is 3 years in total and I still haven't finish mine. I stop using it in between, for day and night. The amount that I use is really small, about a red bean size, because the part that I really focus on is only the right side of my face close to my ear where is pigmented. *my bad for not knowing that I NEED to apply sunblock when I was 13 :/ *

Ok, back to the topic. I'm actually tempted to try the Clinique's Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector, as I read on the internet and it says
"Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector which targets hyperpigmentation, is said to offer prescription strength effectiveness at evening skin tone."
I'm a Marketing person but I'm also a person whom is easily drawn away by marketing scams :/ Not saying that this is a scam, but it says that this serum is truly groundbreaking which will deliver on its promises.
I don't know whether you're the same as me, I normally have stereotype on skin care products where in my mind, I set Clinique as a more effective product if you want a clear skin; Lancome/ Kose will be for brightening/ whitening; Bioterm/ H2o is more on hydration.
So I'm not too sure will this actually deliver its promises and will be effective on my skin. Or should I go for another one which I'd planned to buy before I discovered this, which is Estee Lauder - Cyber White Spot Corrector.

Tell me if you've tried one of those, or you have better recommendation for dark sports. Thanks!
