Happy New 2010 Year!

Oh my, we left Y2K in 10 years ago in just a blink!
Happy New Year everyone. Here we are - 2010. A brand new year with new adventures and also a one whole year to pile up great memories.
I had a quiet dinner with uncle and his friends, all old folks and is kinda boring, but still, it  makes me feel young :P

Nothing much on NYE, but only FIREWORKS!!!.
We enjoyed the first burst of colour which is for the kids in my uncle's condo which has a million dollar view, facing Sydney Opera house and part of Harbour Bridge.

Only windows for the whole living room.

It is a  prelude to the Midnight Fireworks, the 9pm Family Fireworks display, leave the crowd in awe as the night sky fills with colour. This beautifully choreographed eight minute performance will be the biggest yet, with firing from four barges on the harbour, the rooftops of seven city skyscrapers and some surprise locations.

This is the one taken from my iPhone from the balcony, quality darn suck, so embarrassing >.<

This is the actual one for the kids session. See the difference of professional and non-pro? LOL

Went down to the bottom of Sydney Harbour bridge to watch the real Welcoming 2010 fireworks. People flooded the beach and some crazy freak were there in their tents since morning just to get the best spot of the view.

This is my view of Harbour Bridge. Pretty good spot though!

1.5 million people dressed in a touch of blue (sorry to say I didn't follow..LOL) celebrated New Year's Eve, as the global symbol of unity Yin and Yang beamed from the Sydney Harbour Bridge at Midnight to Awaken the Spirit for 2010. Awaken The Spirit (theme of the night) symbolizes soulful, sexy and sophisticated .

This is the Ying & Yang in the middle of the Harbour Bridge.

It takes fifteen months of planning to deliver Sydney New Year’s Eve and for the 1.5 million people gathered around the harbour, the Midnight Fireworks display is the reason why, Sydney really is, the New Year’s Eve capital of the world.
This majestic twelve minute show takes place in the world’s best open theatre, with fireworks firing from seven barges on the harbour, the rooftops of seven city skyscrapers and the unforgettable Sydney Harbour Bridge. The wait is over at the stroke of midnight when Sydney bursts the night sky open with an epic fireworks show to signal the start of a New Year. 1.5 million people were wow-ed with the majestic finale. Pictures will let you imagine how wow-ed I was that time, and you can really feel that this brand new year will gonna be GREAT!

I remembered that the whole twelve minutes I was wow-ing non-stop, and my hands were freaking tired because I needa hold up my phone to take videos. Anyhow, the videos are priceless to me as I can always recall the feeling of watching it LIVE. :)

I'm grateful that I don't have to smash myself in the crowd after the fireworks. Train station of Milsons Point was like flooded with people, waiting for trains to pick them up.

This is a picture taken from my uncle's balcony, laughing watching at people turning into sardins..XD

So, wishing everyone a great year ahead, and also congrats my hometown, Kedah if they really reach their goal, as I remember, KEDAH MAJU 2010 right? Kedahans, do correct me if I'm wrong =)

p.s: Pictures with fireworks were taken from here.

p.p.s: Added two pictures in Craziest Boxing Day ever
