Fun Baking

Do you love baking?
Well, I do! :)

Today we're gonna bake
CHOCOLATE CHIPS COOKIES!!!!!

I doubled up the ingredients so we can have LOTS of cookies to fill us up this week end.

Lets get started!
Add:
250g of room temperature unsalted butter
400g (2 cups, firmly packed) soft brown sugar
and whisk them together until the sugar are dissolved and mixed well with the butter.

Add in 4 eggs, 1 at a time till they are all well incorporated.
Put in 1tbs of vanilla essence.
600g (4 cups) self raising flour / (plain flour + 1 tbs baking powder)
a little at a time so that they won't end up with lumps and the butter and sugar mixture could incorporate with the flour together.

When is all mixed up with a creamy brown texture, add in as much chocolate chips as you want!
We added 2 bags of  milk chocolate and white chocolate each! :D

This is our dough that is done and prepare to be roll into balls and put on the tray and bake.

Ok, I'm kinda lazy to roll one by one into balls, so I just use 2 table-spoons and put a certain amount of dough  on the tray, by leaving some space in between so that they won't stick together when they grow. Grow? Hahaha, is just they will get bigger when is done.

There you go, see my little precious baking in the fan oven for 140 degrees for... I actually don't count how long, I just check often and use my instinct to feel whether the colour is right? Do they look cook?
I know is so not professional to do this, but who cares? LOL!
I'm not a pro as this is my 1st time baking it. Our 1st tray was basically a disaster because the recipe that we followed said 180 degrees for 20-25 mins.
And that's way too wrong!
And my genius bf leave the 1st tray at the most bottom part of the oven (see the picture above where you can see the red burning line, yes, that's just above that) and we burnt our 1st tray of babies at the bottom. :(
No worries though, as we doubled up the ingredients, we have heaps to play with.
Second tray was ok, but it was kinda soft in the inside. (we just took it out too quick as we fear it might burn again) LOL!
*I did put it back in the oven again to bake it a little further.*
:DDDD
After playing with the heat of the oven, I finally got the perfect temperature. I have it around 140 degrees, for maybe 10-15 mins?
I don't know as I told you I don't time them. Hahaha!

Anyways, these are the whole lot of cookies that can literally turn me into a cookie face in two days!
And I could say these cookies are pretty good! Yummmm!!!!

Off for some cookies! Omm nom nom nom!!!
:D
