Happy Chinese New Year & Happy Valentine's Day

Here by wishing all Chinese, Happy Chinese New Year, and Happy Valentine's Day to every couples and even those who are single :)

How did you spend your CNY and V-day?
Mine was pretty "no feel" for both celebrations. Woke up around noon, had toast with egg and tomatoes and hot milo as brunch with Jono. Weird huh having these food during 1st day of CNY? So non-chinese...LOL.
I'm off  to Westfield after brunch, with my old t-shirt and shorts, with NO make up, not even concealer..-.- Head to Esprit to change the size of Matt's clothes because Winnie bought the wrong size and ask me to change it for her while she was back to Malaysia.

Met up Carol and she accompanied me to find Chinese pastry because that lazy Jono wants to have them but was too lazy to go out -.- So was searching for Chinese bakery and finally get a "Tiger Skin Swiss Roll". I was thinking that this year is the year of Tiger, so just buy something to do with tiger..hahaha, I know I'm lame! Then I got 2 egg tarts and 1 mango puding as well.

Went back to Carol's, and help her catch a huge "fly". Is not a housefly I think, but it looks similar to horsefly and is REALLY BIG, as big as my thumb eventually...Carol is like princess shouting while she saw it, and I'm the MAN one who catches the "fly" and laugh like no tomorrow. If you really saw Carol's expression, I bet you will laugh like me..XD

Haha, proven that iPhone 3GS camera is better iPhone3G one...hehehe!
Went back to Jono's and have afternoon tea with the pastry that I'd bought, chat about a lot of stuffs, and of course to grab our dinner after that. We were actually planning to have Korean food down stairs across the road, but Jono feels like having Malaysian food, so we called up Sambal, and place a booking for two. Drove down to Sambal, it is pretty close to my place, I heard of it before, but never really been there to have a try. The price was EXPENSIVE! You can order 1 Penang Char Kuey Tiao here, and have 10 plates in Penang...WTH! Since I never had Penang Char Kuey Tiao for so long, so might just give a try.

Jono have minced chicken with tofu, a coke and I have a glass of coconut! I was so exited to have coconut, I just don't know why...hahaha! Taste of the food is pretty similar to what we can have in Malysia, but the serving is REAL big!

I can share a plate with my loomate if she was here...haha! You can't really judge how big it was in this photo, but for sure I don't have to tell you this, you might just know I'm gonna say that I can't finish it my own..What a waste...

The restaurant is opened by a Malaysian guy, I was pretty sure because I heard Manglish, Hokkien and Bahasa Melayu..lol! Felt like I'm-so-in-Malaysia when I heard dialect, and the funny part is, when I heard Manglish, me and Jono burst out in laughter because he was always trying to mimic the slang of Manglish and that taukeh sounds really like him..hahah!

Chinese New Year is about gathering with families and close ones, have a good chat and laughter, and is always about good things when we open our mouth. This year, I had reunion at Aunty Choo-Lee's, with Uncle Chen, Aunty Agnes, Chris and Jono, only 6 of us, so I can't really feel the mood of Chinese New Year although we're having the traditional way of steamboat. Whereas back to my country, they are having 17 people in my house this year..:(

Anyways, I get to talk to Aunty Min Yee and mum today, but I can't get granny because by the time I called, she had left to other relative's place..*sobs*

Ok, I know is Chinese New Year and I shouldn't moan too much, at least I had a traditional reunion dinner with relatives, received ang pows which is a lot better than those who didn't even have reunion dinner with relatives in a foreign country, and I also so called celebrated Valentines this year! Every year I celebrated with a bunch of friends, coupled and single, but this time is different, I celebrated alone with a GUY, haha, don't think too much, he is my cousin, Jono =)

Hope you guys have a great year ahead with the roar of TIGER, and the sweetest Valentines with ya love ones!

Much love, June

p/s: Winnie is reaching Sydney by morning, hope to see her around when I'm awake!!! :D
