Melbourne Trip

'Heya, I'm back everyone!!!

Had a splendid 9 days 13 days vacation in Melbourne, a very awesome place for getting rid of hectic and pressure life, especially after 13 weeks of pressure for classes, assignments, mid-terms and final!!!

Oh ya, passed all my subjects with P, CR and HD *exhales* Not excellent, yet no complaints =)

Aite, shall get back to the main point of my post,my Melb trip!!! (should have get this post done few days ago but was procrastinating all the while, sorry, my bads)

* I'll try to cut short on my grandmother-bed-time-story, and allow the pictures to make most of the saying, but you can still close this post if you are not interested in this long-bloody-not-interesting-13-days-trip*

# Day 1 - Landed on heaven

Landed in the land of heaven around 11, took a SkyBus from the airport to the city and meet up Lee Yee!

Took a tram to Southbank, the place where I'll be staying for most of the days for the whole trip, and it's just opposite Crown Casino!!! Gosh!

Placed my belongings in Han Shi's (Lee Yee's friend) room, *thanks for giving your room out for so many days...appreciate it! =) * and headed to Dessert House for lunch!

My very 1st lunch in Dessert House. David (Southbank housemate) said that whenever you visit Melb, is a must for you to try Dessert House..lol!

Went to the State Library of Melbourne and have a look. Geez! Love the feeling of those Harry-Potter's-Library feeling...so different with the one in Sydney.

Hop on a City Circle free tram for a ride in the city..it was kinda awesome as it was the 1st time I'm on the tram in the city.

Tram was the traditional transport in Melbourne, so you can always see trams going around Melbourne.

Melbourne is a place full with beautiful sculptures and buildings were awesome creatively architected, this is what you can't see in Sydney and Malaysia.

Meet up Kelvin (Southbank housemate) after that, and accompanied him for his lunch in Red Silk, also a place that must try..haha!

Was too full to try any big meal, so ordered a Fried Ice-cream as dessert. Han Shi came to join us as well.

# Day 2 - City adventures

City again!!! No choice, I was staying in the city and no car for the whole trip, according to Lee Yee, there are not much things to explore in the surburb, so besides wondering around in the city, 2nd choice will still be the city..XD

Ok, besides the city, at least I followed Lee Yee back to the suburb where she lives - Glen Ferrie, to grab some stuff from her crib.

Weather was so dry in Melb. I'm having chap lips and cracks on my fingers...

So you will be seeing me applying my lipbalm anytime in the day..XD

Went to Crown with Lee Yee, Han Shi and Kelvin.

 (my 1st time entering casino in Aus, though I've stayed in Sydney's Star City Casino before, but I never enter the casino there...stupid huh? Lol)

Geez!!! So tempting!!!! Slurp slurp!!!

Waited for the fireball to flames at the final five minutes of every hour starting from 7pm till 12 midnight.

This gas jet display uses the volume of gas that a normal Melbourne home uses each year. If you're standing between pillars of those fireballs, you will really feel the strong heat being blown up and it was warm literally during this cold freezing weather. I even spotted a bird sitting on a lamppost enjoying the heat, it must be freezing in such weather. Lol

# Day 3 - Queen Victoria Market

Nothing much on this day because Lee Yee is having exam on the next day, so we planned to go to Queen Victoria Market in the morning to buy some stuff to cook at home.

Guess what?!

When we reached Vic Market, it was empty!!!!!
 I can see nothing but only emptiness from the head of the market till the end of it :S
It was closed on Wednesday!!!!!!!
Oh my~ should have google for the operating days before travelling all my way there. -.-

So headed back to Coles and grab some stuff wanted and got back.

# Day 4 - St. Kilda beach

It was a very very very beautiful beach...relaxing with cooling breeze...Splendid!

# Day 5 - Docklands with Adeline

Funny cow with small tiny head and big fat body was stcuk up the tree....lol

Was so nervous and dropped Adeline's iPhone (drop for the 1st time!!!)

Yea, I'm don't feel guilty at that time!

Pity Adeline on that day, she lost her ring in the washroom.

We went to DFO and do some shopping, and she realized that her ring was not on her finger when she was checking out with the cashier.

Gosh!!!

We head back Docklands but the ring wasn't there anymore...:(

I totally understand how she felts because I lost mine before

Went to Ying Thai for dinner with Southbankers

Luckily we booked a table, it was so famous and was full house everyday!!!

Thai Teh Ice was NICE!!!

Mince meat with chilli was Nice as well...

Tom Yam was real SPICY HOT!

Green Curry was yummy!!!

Overall rating for Ying Thai - Thumbs Up + 5 Stars.

Took a tram back to Caulfield during the dawn, and it took us almost 1 fuggin hour to reach!

 I sent a sms to Lee Yee telling her that we're changing the time to meet up later because me and Adeline need some sleep after Crown-ing through out the whole entire night.
Was too tired and kinda dozing off in the tram after that.

When we reached, I remembered I need to text Ben to inform him that we've reached safely.

Guess what again?!?!?!

I can't find my phone!!
So I think I might have left it in the tram!!!
Wtf!

Thought can have a good sleep when we reached, but things didn't turn up as what we've expected.
We needa call the tram lost and found service, and that fuggin guy told us that it can only be done on Monday morning.
Pssssssttttt!!!!

So we waited at the tram stop and see is there any tram passing by.
Spotted one, and ask the driver for the contact number of that tram that we've traveled.
He asked us to wait at the same stop as the tram will turn back later.
So me and pity Adeline waited at the station, that morning was extremely cold!
4 degrees only man!!!

Found my phone finally *pheww*, but we met a very English style "ghost" (as in her dressing, with lace and long skirt, VERY fair pale skin with a very RED lipstick painted on her lips) sitting on the tram stop without any movement or expression on her face.

Really sucks!

Because of that, I needa go all the way to the airport just to change the date.

Wasting heaps of money on calls which had been put on hold for so darn long, and transportation to the airport.
